 Introduction |

Sahara begins: the largest desert of the world.
In Morocco, the desert settles carefully,
the valley of Draä or the Ziz wadi shell
a chain of villages and green palm plantations,
before losing itself under the dunes of the
ergs (Chebbi or labidlia) which extend to
the foot from high plateaus last reliefs before
Algeria. It is the field of the nomads Aït
